RE: Fuel gauge
Gee. thanks I know. :) The early 504's had cylinder
sleeve problems that were a real pain. We didn't have
to replace the head on our's until it had over 133,000
miles on it. At that point we put the Turbo Diesel in
it and later on the five spd. A unique beast it
was/is. A Peuegot collector in PA has her now. NO rust
at all on the car either. Very "unique" driving
experience to say the least. As much as I hated it at
times when my friends would rip by me in their VW's, I
really did like driving the car.
We lucked out and got a "good" one. That car lasted us
25 yrs and 300,000+ miles.. wonder how long the GLX
will last with the same kind of care I lavished on the
Peugeot? Time will tell.
