RE: got tires (was: new tires to pass inspection)
thats actually not too bad. since a decent alignment should be 60-70, tire
disposal is 5/tire, stems, balance and mount is 10-20/tire. most places I
called about mounting "tire-rack" tires quoted me between 20 and 40 per tire
so 120 with an alignment is not too bad.

I ended up getting Dunlop SP5000's. 205/55/R16. I like them a lot so far.
Haven't had a chance to drive in the rain yet. The car had Goodyear Eagle
RS-A's when I bought it. I got about 39k out of them. These Dunlops have
a higher tread life so I should be able to get more out of them.
National Tire and Battery is a rip off. They don't even have a website
which
surprises the hell out of me. I got the tires for $114 a piece (not bad)
but
they charged about $130 in labor to put it all on, do an alignment, etc.
