Stereotypes abound because that is how we process information.  There are
others such as the fact that Jordan or Magic are not that "smart".  Hell, they
both probably have a higher IQ than Larry.   The question is, what is talent.
Larry Bird had/has exceptional hand eye coordination, exceptional vision, and
the ability to focus and concentrate under pressure.  All of these are
talent.   He couldn't jump like Jordan, but who can.  ETC.  Anyone who rises to
the level of Magic, Bird, or Jordan WORKS very very hard.  Magic and Jordan
improved their shooting.  Jordan improved his understanding of the game and
team work play.  Larry worked extra every day.  The Derrick Colmans and Shaqs
of the game just don't do that.  They rely on talent and size.  But, I doubt
they will be real champions.  Walker has talent, but he has a lot to prove.
