I think Walker is proving himself as we speak. Compare Walker incarnations
from this and last year. Last year his dribbling and passing were there,
but his shot was inconsistant and his attitude was poor. This year his shot
has improved exponentionally and he is asserting himself when it matters.
Contrast this with former celtic Eric Williams, whose jumper never improved
significantly during his stay here and disappeared in the second half of
close games. Antoine is showing a devotion to both the team and his own
self improvement.
On a side note, Shaq should never be compared with Derrick Coleman. As
much as his self premotion and ability to dominate(why the NBA needs zone
defenses) irritate me, I cannot help but notice his improvement. Each year
his moves around the basket improve and his shot gains a little range.
Although I doubt he will mentally be able to shoot free throws he works on
them as well. He even tries to pass(although he's not Sabonis by any means,
but he's not Mourning either).
