Re: silly speedometer

hey mark,
I had the same problem on my 95 gl. At first
it was just the speedometer and then after about two
weeks all the gauges went out. I took the instrument
cluster out and looked for a bad connection and
couldn't find one. Finally I choked up the money to
have it looked at an auto electronics shop and they
found out that the pins connected to the cuircut grid
on the back of the cluster for the 28 pin connecter
(the white one not the red)were loose. They re-sodded
the pins and it's been fine for the last 6 months. You
can probably do it yourself. Although I payed the shop

$78.99 for them to find the problem and the labor,
took about an hour. Appose to $300.00+ for a new
instrument cluster. Hope my advise helps.
