LI VW Get Together

Hey All,

Don't know who is from Long Island (NY) but I saw this on the VW Vortex and
meant to post a copy here. It has been a lame summer in terms of local VW
gatherings on LI so this should be nice. The Avenue usually has had a ton
of VW's this summer, but not in any organized sense. I will be there in my
'95 GLX, Sequoia Green with a GTI front end and NY Plates: DRVR FND !!  If
you can make it come down and say Hi, I'd love to meet some people from
here (put faces with names and all that..). If any one wants to meet up and
go together to the meeting location, e-mail me off list.

full MOON, full THROTTLE I 

Come join Autokrieg and friends on Friday 8-18 for a midnight drive. This
cruise is open to all Volkswagen and Audi owners. The cruise will start at
Deer Park Ave off the Southern State and head north to route 25a were we
can enjoy the curves all the way to beautiful Port Jefferson. The adventure
will begin at 10:30pm at the McDonalds parking lot by Pathmark on DPA. We
will leave promptly at 11:00pm and be back around 2:00am. For anyone not
familiar with the area, DPA is one of the largest car strips in the Tri
State and 25a is about as close as you can get to a country road in LI. 
Bring your 2way radios and set them to 6.6. And just a reminder this is a
fun cruise not a race, please do not destroy this for the rest of us…if you
speed or drive recklessly, you will be asked to leave the caravan.

also known as route 231/ from LIE and NS Parkway go south, and on SS
Parkway go north)
