AC compressor & Alternator removal

Hi good list people
Last weekend I hit the curb (long story) hard enough to damage my power steering pump the bracket and the oil pan. Yesterday I removed oil pan and found that although pan needs to be replaced, everything else inside the engine is intact (oil pump etc.). Why 'AC compressor & Alternator removal' ? The bracket that holds power steering pump is the same thing that holds AC and Alternator, and both need to be removed before removing the bracket. My question is how to do this? Do I need to remove front of my car? I tried to jack up the engine alone after unscrewing it from the frame and removing the battery, but I can't raise it high enough because I'm worried that I might damage CV joints. 
Please HELP me.
