Re: selling a 99 A3
Not to be picky or technical nor to depress you :) but the 0.30/mile figure
also includes gas and insurance in addition to the depreciation, so you
have to include those costs into your total car expense or alternatively
reduce the per mile factor to account for that. But your point is well taken
even so you've gotten your money's worth out of your car since I do believe
that the per mile factor of .30 is actually low for our cars.
BTW, am I extraordinarily lucky or might there be something wrong that my
Check Engine light has NEVER come on in the 4 years I have had my 95 OBD I
GLX. (it does light up on start up so there's no problem with the bulb) I
read something about aftermarket radios intefering with the ECU readout.
Might htis be the cause? I have never had the dealer complain about not
being able to read the fault codes although I did have problems clearing an
overrev code using the shorting procedure outlined in the Bentley Manual.
The MIL would not light up as advertised to indicate any code.
Ideas anyone?
Thanks
Jose
