Yeah...  $19k IS TOO HIGH in my opinion.
I bought my '98 A3 GLX new for $19,143 (with 32 miles on odometer and
FULLY Loaded).
With the additional 20k miles you have driven, the value of your
car should be considerably less.  I think you just were screwed by
the dealership (paying over $24k for that damn car + $1500 for Extended
Warranty).

You should probably keep the price below $18k.

Isn't $19K a bit high for this car?  $17.5K is a bit more reasonable...
