RE: Fuel gauge
Hey Weird, how are you? Sorry, had to do it. Anyway, I've gone down to the
last line on my fuel gauge and the fuel light never came on. Not the last
red line, I'm talkin about the white line after the last red line on my 95
GLX.

Subject: Fuel gauge
Not to beat a dead horse. Last night I figured I was
getting down to the end of the barrel on fuel. The
needle was just above the red marks and the light
hadn't gone on so I decided that I would try to see if
I could make it home on that. Well the light went on
immediately as i started driving. Great... so I
decided to press on knowing I might end up in the Ran
Out of Fuel Club :)
Well the light went off eventually and stayed off. I
filled the car up and the needle was on the red then.
Lo and behold I have about 3-4gallons left. Whoever
calibrated this gauge needs to have a swift kick in
the butt b/c to me that isn't really nearing empty.
Stretching a tank of gas is something I don't really
like doing but it is just curious how quickly this
gauge moves when it really shouldn't. I suppose they
are all that way??
End of ranting.
On a positive note I'm enjoying this car more and more
everyday. Still going through withdrawl from giving up
my pride enjoy old Peugeot 504 though... call me weird
I know.
