Assessing Chauncey

Like everyone else, I watched CB with interest Friday night.  In our first
two possessions he drove nicely for a lay-up (which he missed) and
passed a nice alley oop to McCarty (which he missed).  We should have
had four points quickly from his early burst.

Along the way, I was impressed with his defensive energy and position
against Cassel.  Also, he responded to getting scored on by driving and
showing he could make it happen, too.  I like all of that.  I think he is
smooth, has a good outside shot, excellent free throw ability, can drive
and dish very well.  I don't see how Iverson or Stoudamire have better all
around ability; they're just a year ahead.

On Iverson:  yes, he is faster, he is excellent on both ends, but I am
happy with who we've got.  Billups has got it.  We just won't get to see it
clearly for a little while.
