The following story appeared in today's Boston Herald, as part of Steve
Bulpett's "Celtics Notes" column:
<paraindent><param>left</param>No one around the Celtics was shocked to
see Todd Day
let go by Miami, but it was interesting how the move came
down. Word is Pat Riley walked into the dressing room
with the entire team present. He then looked at Day and
said something to the effect of, "I hear you have a problem
with my substitution pattern and you're making faces on the
bench. Well you can leave now. You're out."
</paraindent>
I wonder if that got Todd's attention? He must really want out of the
NBA, I guess. Does he think other teams will be looking to pick him up,
after this latest addition to his resume? With Thanksgiving just up
ahead, Celtics fans can at least be thankful we don't have Todd Day
kicking around town anymore.
