It can't work, it can't be, it can't last.  Welcome to the stages of denial.
I'm not sure what comes next, maybe "it can't work on the road."

I suspect that a lot of us would benefit from a group therapy session,
(maybe that's what this list has been all along), but we need help in
dealing with this rush of success.  Even Purvis is playing well; soon
there will be Leprechaun sightings.  Whatever, I intend to enjoy it.  It is
probably better than the next stage, which is "we should win and it
should last."  

By next year the Lakers might have it together as the perennial Western
team to beat, and guess who could be staring across the muddy
Mississippi as their constant foe?  About the time someone begins to tout
the Shaqalakers as the "best team ever," I expect the Celtics to be there
to say, "not so fast."  Ah, sweet fantasies.
