These 2 comments mean 1 thing.
BIG == TALENT
So Manute Bol is the second most talented player (or 3rd) to ever play in
the NBA. And first place, no not MJ, not Bird, not Russell, yes, Muresan.
Anyone who trades a 7'7" player for Michael Jordan is crazy, you don't
trade big for little.
Oh yeah, one more thing, show me one 6'10" guy that can guard Allen
Iverson and stop him from scoring like Billups and Edney did (and probably
Stoudamire could).
I firmly believe the 2 most important positions to win championships are
point and center (and yes, I count Jordan as a point guard whenever it
suits him, and championships suit him). Right now the Celtics playing the
best are all playing 2, 3, and 4. And yes, so far Billups has been
playing his best ball as a 2 (Edney is the only one really playing point)
and Knight has been playing like a 4.
Celts need a rebounder (witness NJ killing them off of FOUL SHOTS) and
someone to help Edney run the offense. Being 6'10" or above may help the
former, but not the latter, and the latter is no less important to the
C's. And trading Billups for another forward doesn't help the pg
position, either, until another trade is made. BTW, all you people
complaining Billups needs lots and lots of time to learn the NBA and
Pitino's offense, shouldn't the veterans (Brown, Barros, etc) be given at
least a couple games to master Pitino's offense??? It doesn't make sense
to say Billups needs 2 years because Pitino's plan is so hard, and then
say Brown and Barros should learn it overnight. Oh yeah, they're short,
and Brown wants to play somewhere where they play to win. So they're
no-talented whiners......
BTW, what's up the Barros this week? He looks like he's in a coma out on
the court? That can't be his ankle affecting his head that much, can it?
If I didn't know better, I'd think he was out partying with Bledsoe...

Sorry, been a long week. Hopefully the game tonight will relieve some
stress. :)
