My posting regarding Thomas planning too, and now actually doing it,
leaving the team for NBC, had nothing to do with a like or dislike about
the man.  As a long time Celtic fan, I of course dislike Thomas for all his
childish, disgusting behaviour as a player, but my comments were relavent
to the possibility of picking up Stoudamire, who on the radio in Portland
this morning, his hometown, stated he expects to move on next summer if not
sooner in a trade.  

Well what more do we need to know?  I will ask this again; what is the
general feeling about Stoudamire?  Our goals as fans should be to see the
team reach the top, and to do this we need a Grade Point Guard.  If Billups
can be this role player, so be it, I can be as patient as the next guy, but
I am not sure.  More importantly I know, along with many great minds in the
league, that Stoudamire has a potential to be a great NBA point guard. 
With this in mind we need to, as will about 20 other teams, to picking up a
potentially very valuable piece of the championship puzzle.  One last time,
I do think Billups could play a very valuable role in the big picture of a
championship team.
