I agree with you, I can't stand Leah Secondo either. Her voice is annoying,
she's not smooth at all, and she has absolutely nothing interesting to say.
They had a woman last year named Kim, who wasn't knowledgable about
basketball, but it doesn't really matter much how much the person in that
position knows, as long as there are knowledgeable people around her and
most of her stuff is scripted, and at least she was a pleasure to
listen to and watch, and she had fun with the other announcers. The
annoying thing was that Tommy Heinsohn would flirt with Kim every time
they ended up doing pre- or post-game spot together.

I'd be very happy if they'd get rid of both Tommy and Leah. The fortunate
thing for me is that I'm usually at work when the games are on, so I watch
the games on tape and can just fast-forward over the dull commentary.

I love Willie Maye. I think he's great. My dad thinks he's horrible and
unprofessional. I guess you either love him, or you hate him. Sure, his
smile often looks forced, and his chumminess with the players is fake, but
his upbeat, happy nature can brighten things up during the really
depressing games, and he gets lots of interesting stories and info
about what's going on on the Celtics bench and around the FleetCenter.
His interviewing style may not be professional, but it works. He gets
people to open up and talk.

Well, our opinions seem to be split about Willie Maye, but at least it
seems most of us agree about Leah.

...and I also agree that Mike Gorman is better than the rest of them (put
together!)
