point guards

I figure it's time to weigh in with my opinion for what its worth. Billups
is clearly a great talent, but many players and critics -- even his own agent
- -- suggest he isnt the man to run an uptempo system. I don't understand how
if a point guard is fast and a good passer, he cant be an uptempo player, but
apparently it's a special talent, like shotblocking. Is it? Anyway, I
happened to watch the Cleveland/NJ game last night, and Brevin Knight would
have been perfect for us -- a much better tyus edney. Again, though, little
guys get posted up. Still, I think pitino would have been well served to
swap chauncey for knight and andersen on draft day. as things stand, if
Knight is traded, Steve Nash is not the answer. Top three picks are too
precious to give up like that. If we got stackhouse, we would have all of
chauncey's freeagent money for next year to buy a point guard. Or, some
people are hoping Larry Brown will swap Iverson for Billups. In your dreams!
Rick would do that deal in a heartbeat, as would anyone but the most
straightlaced fans like dorine pratt. Bobby Jackson is not value either.
Either you get a player in his last year or a first class point guard.
Personally, I think the perfect 1 for Pitino, and also the best pure 1 in
the league is Jason Kidd. Boy, what would it take to pry him from Phoenix?
