Hi all,

This is the first time I've written to the list, though I've been on it for about three months.  Living in Ireland I don't get to see many NBA games, and the Celts are only ever on about once a year, so most of the information I get is from the web or this list.  It seems to me that we have to give Chauncey a chance, so add my name to the letter, if it's not already been sent.

I've been a fan since the early 80's and I think if we can keep the core of this present team together we can go places in the future.  Give RP a chance to mould the team, even if it means not reaching the play-offs for a couple of years, and give the players a chance to grow with him.

On a different note, I've wondered for the last few years if there should be a Ryder Cup style mini-series (say three games) between the U.S. players and the rest of the world, every couple of years.  I know at the minute the US would win easily, but given the rise of the sport world-wide and the number of good young players playing in Europe, maybe in about ten years time the odds would be closer.

Anyway, the list is brilliant.
Keep up the good work everyone (especially Bill's match reports)
