I really like this analysis by Jeremy. I agree wholeheartedly. We have
to remember that some of the sources that these rumors are coming from, such
as other teams, have an interest in cutting into Pitino's credibility,
since it would make Boston look like a less attractive place to a free agent,
and possibly for other reasons. And some reporters have an interest in making
sensational headlines to sell papers. Unless Billups and Pitino both come out
and tell us the same story, we won't have much idea what's really going on.
That being said, I still like to hear the theories and speculation of
everyone on this list, because it's the only thing we have to go on,
and with all the insightful people on this list, usually every
possibility is suggested at some point.

That was my guess, too, and I wouldn't mind seeing him go. I still
have been surprisingly impressed with Dana Barros so far this year, and
I think Dee Brown and Pervis Ellison are making the effort and could
do well, so I disagree with all those who still seem to be saying "get
rid of all of last year's bums". I say dump Minor and fit the others
in. Even if they don't have the same potential as the young guys, it
will help the young guys adjust to the NBA to be around these guys who
adjusted a long time ago.

That address of "www.hendrix.edu" sounds fishy to me. Normally, an email
address doesn't have "www" in it... that's usually reserved for domains that
serve out web pages, although it's not impossible for it to be used for email.
Are you sure it's not just "hendrix.edu"?

There, now Keenan doesn't have to get in trouble on this one! ;-)

True, and it's also way too time-consuming. Every time I get the
digest there are at least 20 to 30 spelling and grammar mistakes all
through it, but many of them are the typical mistakes like "your/you're",
"their/there/they're", "to/too" and "its/it's", which I've learned over
the years it's best not to point out, especially in a public forum,
even though they bother me. I'd hope we all have better things to do
than to annoy everyone by correcting all the mistakes. If anyone WANTS their
mistakes corrected, let me know and I'll do it over private, direct email.
