Rick's "patience"

I find it strange that a college coach seems to be failing at what college
coaches (should) do best--take care of the young men in their trust.
Perhaps, the Bulls' win freaked Pitino, too, and made him more impatient,
but the driving of Billups started in camp.

Coach has to blend an inner patience and acceptance of losses with a
"win every game" attitude to the players. You don't improve if you aren't
pushing to win. Still, there's enough history of messing up young talent
and Pitino has enough experience to know better; it's a strange situation.

Underneath it all, is the coach aware of the players' attitudes about all
this? I think he has the ability to retreat and fess up to his mistakes if he
realizes it. But, it's looking like his first big mistake with the team.
