Minor will be activated from the injured list for tonight's game at =
Milwaukee. And this: When Minor returns, he will have to leap a pile of =
teammates (Ron Mercer, Dee Brown, Bruce Bowen) for playing time. =
[PARA]After that, things get hazy. With Edney and Minor scheduled to =
come off the injured list, the Celtics roster will undergo another =
training camp-type shuffle. Word out of Phoenix and Golden State is that =
the Celtics have had discussions with both teams. The Celtic most often =
mentioned is rookie point guard Chauncey Billups, who started last night =
at the FleetCenter against the Cavaliers. He played 24 minutes and had a =
solid game with 14 points, 3 assists, and only 1 turnover. =
[PARA][PARA]In the Suns scenario, point guard Steve Nash would be sent =
to Boston for Billups. Boston would make that deal; the Suns probably =
would think and rethink it first. With the Warriors, the Celtics would =
try to land unhappy forward Joe Smith. Most people have said Smith, who =
will make just over $3 million this season, will not re-sign with the =
Warriors when he becomes a free agent July 1. So the idea is that Golden =
State would trade him for someone, fearing it will lose him for nothing =
in the summer.=20
