I don't think the Warriors would give up Smith so cheap. I would give =
them Brown or Barros, Billups & even McCarty to get Smith & B.J. =
Armstrong. Armstrong would give us some point leader ship we need. We =
have big needs for a real point & some consistent outside shooting. =
2-17 on 3's ? That's pitiful. Why did Bowen sit last night so much ?=20
How about a 4 way ? Billups & Jones to Philly, Stackhouse & Declercq =
to Sacramento, Richmond to L.A., and Weatherspoon, Hurley & Eddie =
Jones to Boston ?
I still think Jones, Mercer, Bowen, Walker, & Knight would be a pretty =
athletic starting five. Even though Jones has not played the point I =
think his ball handling and floor leadership skills are definitely good =
enough.
We have the same problem we had last year when Wesley was out, no real =
point. We need to lose Brown, Barros Minor & Ellison if possible. I =
still would also move Ellison and Brown or Barros for Terry Porter and =
Stanley Roberts. He is in the last year of his contract I believe. I =
have mixed feelings on a Billups for Nash straight up move, maybe =
Billups. Barros & Jones for Nash & Ceballos ? =20

I prefer the Warriors deal though, Joe Smith is a scoring forward who =
can
play both at both the 3 and 4 positions pretty well. If he can bring his
game to his rookie year level he will be a steal. I see the following =
five
player deal making sense:
Billups + Jones + Thomas <-> Smith + Delk
The deal helps us in getting rid of some players aquired in the knicks =
trade
and also helps the warriors who get some pretty atheletic players in
addition to Billups. - MIshra
