Knicks at night
I at first did not believe the knicks-phoenix score last night. But it was
right and it gives some comfort. The Knicks are moping up on marginal
defensive teams; we shouldn't take our loss to them so hard. Hope they
blast the Lakers tonight.
Also, that should put to rest the zeal for developing offense rather than
defense. Phoenix has a well developed, veteran offense. Only
McDyess has been added there.
I have struggled withf Pitino's attitude on the bench; his frustration and
anger. But we only see what the cameras choose to show and read
only part of the story. He knew this was coming, but that doesn't make it
easy to take. He must think that Billups shouldn't compound mistakes and
pulls him. When he does well, he lets him go on. I can't fault that
approach. Plus, McCarty will learn by doing. This is a season where we
can affort to let these guys learn. If they want to make the playoffs,
that's fine, and I hope they do, but I want to feel that we've got the right
players first.
