well, there are some people on this list who think the who shouldnt have have 
gone on with the tour after entwistle died and some have criticized pete on 
this list in the past. some of it being probably more "extreme" than what 
cobain said.    maybe the reason why the letter was never released until now 
is because he said what he had to say in it, and then he felt much better and 
changed his mind about the whole thing. some of us do that sometimes. that's 
why these are cobain's "Journals", some of it shouldnt be heard or read by 
and/or from anybody but the one who wrote them. thats why some nirvana fans 
and even the surviving members of the group feel awkward about this book 
being published.
