I've never seen the Better/Best video. Are there different performances
than Max R&B???

>Ok, look. I know people who get drunk and heat up lighters and burn
>themselves, or burn themselves with cigs.

I'm German/Irish, if there's anyone who knows about drinking and drunks it's
me; my liver speaks two languanges. I also grew up in the 70s, so I've
probably taken as many drugs as Keith Richards in my time. From people who
know me, during my "Keith Moon" period, I've put on more than my share of
specatcles. I've either known people or have been directly involved in
intoxicated activities including: chandelier swinging, hotel destruction,
virgin sacrifice, etc, etc, and not once have I watched someone burn
themselves (purposely) with a lighter, match, cigarette, flamethrower, or
charcoal. I have a friend who's shot, stabbed and burned himself - all
accidentally and he's the dumbest individual on the planet. And even he's
not stupid enough to take a lighter to himself, let alone have someone punch
him in the face for kicks. Sounds like you and people you know may have
come from another planet because my friend Rich IS the dumbest from THIS
planet.

Dude, you're digging yourself deeper and deeper with each of your
explanations about this hitting in the face stuff. It's akin to saying
"...yeah, I had sex with my dog - but it was a female dog! At least I'm not
gay!" Maybe you ought to discuss other habits of yours to keep us
entertained, this one is getting a tad redunant. Now, have you ever carved
a girl's name into your flesh with a butter knife??? Repeatedly zipped up
your chopper in your fly???

>I think that you're missing out if you didn't see the Pumpkins live.

Really? They must've gotten better than when I saw them. I saw them in '94
just about the time they got national recognition - in other words, when
everyone was watching and they were allegedly at their "best". It was
simply the worst concert I've ever been too (and Miles Davis in New Orleans
circa 1992 was terrible) and it was the only concert I ever left early.
Noise... simply awful noise. I wouldn't go a Pumpkins show if I was
promised sexual favors from a caberet of porn stars and paid to attend.
Yuk. Alright, MAYBE I'll go for the porn stars... Do you think they would
have an open bar there too?

Gen Walk:

>know who else is a great live band? u2!

Wow, I really am the negative little worker bee today ain't I? U2???
GenWalk, I would agree with you on that PRIOR to the "Zoo" tour - the one
where they had all the old cars hanging from the roof of the auditorium. I
had seen U2 three times prior to that tour (3rd album after Joshua Tree? -
the tour with the album that had "Mysterious Ways") and they were
astounding. Sheer energy, passion and stage presence rivaling a certain
band from Shephard's Bush. But on that Zoo tour, they went from a great
live act to a bunch of posers - all of them. I was most sickened by that
stupid ass Bono's posturing, posing and general pretentiousness. How on
earth can you ruin such a cool song as "Bad"??? They played it that night
and I think if you could've looked really close, you could see Bono yawning.
He loved himself a helluva lot more than his audience and it showed that
night. Mind you, this was in Chicago, so it was no small performance for a
small market. I'll never give those bums another dime of mine. And funny
enough, the Chicago Tribune described that horrible show as the "greatest"
concert to ever come through Chicago. I wonder if that asshole who wrote
that was even there.

Finally, I don't have a full setlist/wishlist for the upcoming tour, (I know
they'll do their usual Greatest Hits and stuff) so I'm not going to hope for
a dream list. Just a few dream songs:

Sparks
Pics of Lily
The Seeker
A Quick One
Young Man Blues
Sister Disco
Dreaming from the Waist
Bargain
The Ox

...to name a few.

Soon to come, a possible explanation as to Pete's saying he can't write
songs for the Who anymore... A spin on it from an fragile human
perspective.

Be cool all,
