There's a couple of spots along Chuckanut where it's safe to drive that
fast, but driving that fast at night -- or day-- with all the people that
are around the parks and trails there, bikers, pedestrians, and slow cars,
make that kind of driving plainly unsafe.

If you have a desire to break the speed limit by over 2x, (driving up to
70mph in a 30mph zone) then find a racetrack. I'm not going to get into a
flamewar over this topic, that is simply all.
