Subject: Zimmerman rotors
My '95glx took nearly 62k miles to go through its first set of brakes. Two
weeks ago I replaced the rear rotors, brake pads, bearings and seals with
Zimmerman cross drilled and Mintex red boxes. Has anyone else done this
procedure before? I now have two problems that maybe someone on the list
might have gone through in the past. First, my ABS light now stays on
continuously. Second, there is this slight clunking noise when I first take
off in the morning (no other time). I checked again last week to make sure
everything was tight in the back while I did the fronts. Both of the above
symptoms occurred prior to me changing the fronts. Oh, I did not bleed the
brakes either. Also, I did notice the stock rotors had spines on the inside
whereas the Zimmerman's didn't. Thanks.

P.S. Does anyone know of a site where I can get info for a 2 liter auto A3
Jetta? A friend of mine is trying to add some auto transmission fluid but
can't find the dipstick filler tube.
