What's me car really worth...

Hi everyone, 
I'm in the process of replacing my `95 GLX - w/ 96k miles, stock loaded with
leather, no after market upgrades, good condition.  I'm very confused about
it's value.  Out on www.kbb.com it prices out to $13,610(retail) /
$8,830(traid-in) but the dealer is only going to give me $8K max and he said
he'd be stretching at that.  I have been trying to sell it outright myself
asking $11,900, but have got only a handful of very week nibbles in the last
2.5 months.  Is Kelly out of whack for such a high mileage car?  What should
I realistically be asking?
