Have your mechanic take a look at this. If it's as easily
reproducible, run the car for 30 minutes before you take it in, ask
to have the mechanic come out and see the symptoms. Could be a loose
relay or a malfunctioning relay?

That is certainly not normal, mention that as well. Perhaps super
unleaded will improve things? There isn't a plastic bag where your
air filter is supposed to be is there?

Who knows, maybe a Turn/Whipple mount will improve things there.

That should be an easy fix, may require parts, you may want to take
it in prior to your 5k so the parts are there when you bring your car
in.

This you have to pay for yourself. I suggest Mintex Redbox pads.
Improves braking distance, and reduces brake dust.
