Shifter lever vibrating.

I recently bought a 2000 Jetta GLX 5-speed, and the shifter lever
vibrates under engine braking in 3rd gear.  I looked on tech.vw.com, and
I found that there is a TSB about it (34-99-01).  Has anyone else
experienced this vibration?  If so, have you tried the fix described in
the TSB?

I believe this applies to all 5-speed VR6 cars, but there is another TSB
for the 5-speed 4-cylinder cars (34-99-02) with the same problem.
