Well actually, those are the tools for removing the old vw head units.
The tools required to remove the Bose head unit are flat pieces of
metal that act as keys when inserted between the buttons (I don't
recall which ones). They are a single use item as far as I am
concerned so it was great that the service manager at my dealer did it
for free.
