Jim - You made no reference to it, but the following also appeared in 
the Murphy column you brought to us yesterday.  Wondering what 
your take is on it.

doctor under Baccus' charge. ``The doctor appointed by Dr. Baccus has
cleared Vin, but that doesn't matter because this is up to Dr. Baccus.

For sure, lots of posturing for position going on here with each of
the parties (including Baker's new agent) having his/their own personal 
axe to grind.  Since neither side wants to put their own dirty laundry
on display, and there is plenty of it on all sides, it's a BUYOUT all the 
way.  
Just a question of how much $$$$. 

If Baker is indeed as fit as his agent now claims, another NBA team 
(the Knicks) will risk picking him up for the vet. min. Who knows, he
might even come through for them... at least for a while.
