The Sonics are 28-24, tied with Denver for 9th place in the West, a full three games out of the playoffs. They haven't played in 8 days, since a loss in Portland.
Seattle has Payton, Ewing and Baker, plus three of the hot young players in the league; in Rashard Lewis, Desmond Mason and Rueben Patterson. On paper, they should handle us easily.
I have heard from several fronts that the ref's gave Vancouver a huge edge on Tuesday. We will have to get a little help from them, as well as sustain the inspired play of Walker and Pierce in spite of the numbing loss to the Grizzlies. Eric Williams and Milt Palacio will have to do better than shoot, 1-16.
Randy Brown appears useless and the coach is considering disabling him when Herren is ready, maybe by tonight.
While several posts ridiculed Anderson, one poster, to this board, gave him some kudos for playing defense. Bibby was unstoppable for both of our point guards.
Anderson could give the team a big lift, if he has anything left in his tank, as he recovers from his injury and gets closer to game shape. He makes an easy target, but why is he playing (as he has done all season ) hurt and at less than full capacity, when Brownout has not? He has earned my respect for playing through the groin pull last season and carrying on during this one, when he could have (he has that guarranteed money) just sat down.
Anderson has pride and a will to win. Does he still have game?
