My intent was to name Fortson as the principal, but agree that Fortson alone
is not enough. My premise is that the Lakers don't appear to want Glen Rice,
so he may be obtained at a bargain. Also, I believe that Fortson is the type
of player the Lakers are looking for--a true banger and rebounder who does
not demand the ball on offense.

Forget about whether or not he would accept being the third option or coming
off the bench. Fortson for Rice? Jerry West would laugh Wallace and Pitino
out of the room. They're talking about a Rice for Hughes/Geiger deal with
Philly. Fortson wouldn't be enough to land either of those players from the
Sixers. We're all SERIOUSLY over-valuing Danny Fortson right now.
