Back on the Bandwagon (pre New Jersey game post)

Well, I think my annual prediction of 42 wins may be a little optimistic this
year (again ;-), but I am optimistic about a couple of things, and would
invite anyone equally inclined to jump back on the bandwagon.

For one thing, Antoine is really playing better than in the past. The box
scores don't adequately reflect this. He finally seems to 'get it', most of
the time, as opposed to rarely in the past. And Antoine is the only player
that the Celts have that has the ability to take the team to a higher level
(usual flames expected).

For another there have been moments - quarters or even whole half games -
when the whole team seemed to 'get it'. Ball movement, up the court
quickly, etc. Even a little defensive coordination at times. This is new !

Finally, we have another couple of players, who, while uninjured, bring some
real smarts and good attitude to the team in Bryant Stith and Randy Brown.
And when we get some people healthy at point guard - the New Jersey game just
now started with Milt Palacio as our starting point guard ! - that will help.

So call me an optimist (or whatever), I think we can improve a lot with our
current roster. Even with the current coach. The owner I'm not so sure.
