Enjoying the List
Hi everyone--- This is my first post, I've been reading the list for
three weeks or so and I have enjoyed the "give and take" of the various
posts, although some of you guys are statistically out of my league! I
must admit that I watch the games for the entertainment value only and
don't analyze the games like you do (not that there's anything wrong
with that . . .) :]
I have seen almost every game, except three of the recent losses because
we lost cable with the ice storms. At times the lack of offense makes
me want to get up and yell because it is so frustrating to watch,
especially when the balls bounce off the front rim time and time again.
The defense looks good most of the time though.
A couple of questions/comments:
1) Why does everyone analyze Chauncey the most of all the players? I
realize he's the point guard and directs everything, but does it impact
the game to this extent? It was my understanding that point guards were
very abundant, wouldn't the Celts have the option of having two or three
potential starting point guards?
2) Everyone talks about Antoine being the big star. It appears to me
that Coach Pitino is the big star. I have noticed that the camera goes
to him so often, he is in all the promos on SportsChannel and is on the
cover of the Celtics Yearbook. I'm glad he's the coach and I like what
he's accomplished.
Joe, the names you selected for the WNBA Boston team were great, some
were acceptable and some were downright corny, but clever.
GO CELTS!!! I'm taking my Dad to the Knicks game and can't wait. I
may even buy one of those big green hands and wave it around. Ha, ha.
