Yawning Billups

In tonight's game, when Billups was put in, he again couldn't hit the wing
man for the pass to set up the offense so he dribbled over to try to create
something for himself. A couple of minutes later on the break, he pulls up on
the run for a clanger three miss. He was pulled shortly thereafter. In the
second half, Tommy was talking about him and the cameras showed him at the
end of the bench, yawning. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
In a close game or almost any game, this is unacceptable. This guy has
obviously turned off Pitino. When Hardaway pulled him aside earlier this year
and told him to stick to his game, he must have came to the conclusion that
Pitino is the problem, not him.
Everyone knows how much talent and potential he has. It just needs to be
harnessed within the team and Pitino's concept. We could wait for it but the
two greatest needs for us right now is a center for defense which we could
get by with and a point guard who can create something and take the load off
Walker.
Billups has a sweet crossover and good range to the 3 on his jumper. He plays
nice D. He needs work on his passing, distributing on the break and his
finish on his drive. He would be an excellent fit on a halfcourt type of team
where the team could be built around him. He would be a junior in college. At
this point, I say TRADE HIM before there is a thing and his value
decreases....
