Jermaine O'Neal

I don't think Jermaine is doing "just fine." He is very unhappy with
his playing time. The Blazers hired his high school coach and brought
him to Portland to take care of Jermaine. This summer I was at the Y
while those guys were playing a pick up game. Xavier McDaniel abused
Jermaine in all phases of the game: woofing, offence, defense.
Afterwards, Tyrone Corbin and some others had to take him aside and
chill him out.

The post about the Lakers being great and the Celtics not for years to
come is off base. Perhaps the voice of frustration and unrealistic
expectations. This team has already done more than I thought it could
do and is making progress. That is something that has been lacking.

The get rid of Billups train is way premature as well. If Rick knows
that Chauncy won't be able to mature into the system, he will trade him.
But, why should we want Yinka Dare? He doesn't even play for the Nets.

It is amazing to me how lacking in patience fans are. This is a team
that couldn't tie it's shoe laces last year. It already has almost 1/2
of the wins the team had in all of last year. That is progress. You
may not like it, but it is.

As for the Lakers. Maybe they will break out this year. But, they have
not really shown for some years. Yeah, they went out and bought Shaq,
but, they still haven't won. So, I think we need to chill out and say
"Happy Thanksgiving" and be glad we have Pitino, Walker, and Mercer.
The Celtics will continue to get better.

Happy Thanksgiving.
