us about about 28 other teams. If Williams keeps up at his current pace, 
he will be one of THE premier FAs this offseason. I doubt we can afford 
him given that Walker's contract will be up the following season.

Re Mashburn: I loved him in college, but nothing he's done as a pro 
indicates the outstanding work ethic Pitino talked about. Maybe RP could 
turn Jamal around, but I agree its a big risk given his health, salary 
and inconsistency. PJ Brown would be a better fit, if I had to choose 
between the two -- ironic, though, isn't it, that the Celts had a chance 
to draft PJ and instead went with the fearsome Jon Barry.
