Yes Dave, but every great team has the ability to score points off of the 
defense.  Bill Russell's rebounding and shot deflecting were the keys to 
those great teams fast breaking for example.  Teams who are able to force 
their opponents to take shots they don't prefer, or force them to use 
alot of the shot clock, normally are very effective.

Every responsible coach will have his team work on defense first.
