RE: Billups as a 2 Guard?

Billups definitely has the athleticism but I have not been impressed in =
his shooting or floor leadership skills you would expect for a # 3 pick. =
As others have stated look at what Marbury and Iverson did their first =
years. They did not excel in all facets but appeared to be much more =
ready for this level than Chauncy. But as someone else stated Magic did =
not have an out side shot for the first couple years but through hard =
work got pretty good form the outside.

I think for a #3 most expect to see at least a few real big games where =
he takes over on an A.W. off night. We all are real anxious to see this =
team got from what 15-67 to 67-15 but it won't happen overnight. =
Pitino's 5 year plan seems pretty feasible.

My point is there are other ways to help a team to victory without=20
focusing purely on statistics.

Billups may not be a resounding success at the moment as a pg but it=20
would only be conjecture for anyone to say he won't be more than =
adequate=20
2 yrs from now. Who does he have to learn by example from? Brown?=20
Barros? Only Edney has the instincts of a pg on this squad.

Concerning Stoudamire, he did have the opportunity to work with one of=20
the best pure pg of all-time in Isiah, which is probably a little bit=20
better guidance at the position than what Billups is receiving, with all =

due respect to RP. Nobody wants to win more than me, but I know Rome=20
wasn't built in a day.

Billups does have some strengths that I have noticed. We definitely are =

not averse to discussing his weaknesses on this list, but I want to know =
if=20
I am the only person who has seen any of his decent skills?=20

Does Billups have any talent?
