I am a long time subscriber to the list but this is my first post.  Regarding
the rumors to trade billups, I hope they are just that.  This team needs six
months to learn and to be proficient at executing the Pitino system and when
that happens they will be one all star away from being able to compete with
anyone.  Has anybody heard whether Vin Baker has signed a contract extension.
 He is the last piece of the puzzle, in my estimation for the whole picture
to be complete.  Pitino pulled off the greatest coup last June when he down
played Mercer to the press.  This guy is the real deal.  Two months from now
there is not going to be anyone, read that to include Jordan or Pippen, who
will be able to stop him from getting his shot whenever he wants it.  Declreq
goes and Gaston pays an all-star like Baker and we have the team that will
hang #17. What do ya think?
