Re: [Fwd: SUPERSTARS]

I love AW's play. Let me say that straight off. But to compare his play
with that of Barkley and Jordan is premature, to put it mildly. He is a
good all around player but his shooting definitely needs improvement. To
me, I think field goal percentage is the best determinant of how efficient
a shooter a player is. The higher the point average, the harder it is for
a player to shoot at a high percentage. Jordan shot over 50 % his first
year in the league and Barkley over 58 % several times in his career.
Bird, at the lowest point of his career, shot over 45 %. The improvement
in Iverson's play, in a big part be seen in his FG %. He's shooting a
fantastic 53%+ this year. Last year, he was shooting 41.7%. Antoine was
shooting at a 43.7 % clip last year and this year, he is shooting under 40
%. This is not acceptable for a rising star. - Danny
