I also read this article in CNNSI. Now I'm sure a veteran like Massenburg
wanted out because he just didn't want to run all day long, day after day,
night after night, game after game. Old dogs and new tricks. He's
gone...forget him. Billups however...I guess I find this part kind of
disturbing. The phrase I'm looking for here "self-fulfilling prophesy."
He's not going to get better if his confidence and morale are shot.

Pitino's certainly responsible for this...no? Pitino wants to trade him.
He keeps riding him like a "rented mule." The confidence and morale sink
lower. He's certainly not going to play well under these conditions.
Pitino's disappointed....I wonder why.

Any guesses who this could be? I'm going with Barros.
Paul M
(I could be wrong about Pitino riding him, but I like that "rented mule"
thing a lot.)
