Rick Pitino said Tyus Edney, who has been on the injured list
with an ankle injury, has recovered enough and will probably be
activated for Saturday's game against the Bucks. Should Edney
be activated, a player from the active roster -- possibly rookie
John Thomas -- will be placed on the injured list or released.
"We have a lot of guys who are banged up," said Pitino.
I really believe that Tyus can run this team. He doesn't get enough
credit for taking Sacramento to the finals in his rookie year; his
sophomore year slump was due to getting screwed by the coach who
was intent on shoehorning Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf into a point guard,
and sending Tyus into the game with both MAR and Mitch on the bench.
It's kind of hard to get assists when nobody on the floor can shoot.
I think Tyus has the goods and hopefully we will see it this weekend!
