Last night, I sat down to watch the C's with quiet anticipation. A lot
more interest and hope than in recent years, but still quiet anticipation=

I barely made a sound in the first quarter. I wasn't surprised to see th=
e
Celts getting manhandled. Even into the second quarter, as the C's battl=
ed
back, I was pretty quiet.
As the game went on, I found a few "YESSSS!"es escaped from my lips. The=
n
a few "ALLRIGHT!!"s. Then one or two "OH, GIVE ME A BREAK!!"s when the
refs called the C's for breathing near His Holiness. =
By the end of the game, I was pounding the coffee table and scaring the
dog.
I haven't had that much fun watching the Celtics in at least five years,
maybe more like ten. Maybe it's a sign that I should "get a life," but I=
really miss that thrill. I'm still on an emotional high ten hours later.=

Thanks Rick Pitino. Thanks to all the players. Thanks to the Celtics
management for bringing in Pitino. And somebody (ML, maybe) deserves a b=
ig
thanks for drafting Walker. He's a show stopper.
