- - Yesterday's celtics gameplan against Michael Jordan leads me to belive
that they could be very
effective against teams with one go to player e.g. Magic, Jazz etc.
- - The actual trouble will come against team like Hawks, Bucks, Sonics which
are run by very skillful
point guards.
- - I hope yesterday's game was an education for Billups and brings him closer
to being a starter. By
the way does Vescey know anything about basketball? Billups yesterday
showed that he has a
great jumper and he shoots it with an exquisite touch, and he in one of
his columns called it an
"ugly corkscrew" . I belive that if Billups watches films of Scotty Pippen
manning the point and
emulate that in his game he will probably be the PG that Rick wants.
- - I loved it yesterday when Rick said, "we will celebrate this victory
tonight and then prepare for
Orlando", which means they will watch some film, put in some plays
specifically for Orlando
and in short have a game plan only for Orlando. Contrast this with last
year or year before last,
where ML midway through this season after an emabarrasing loss to Portland
announced that
they need to watch some film to analyze the defensive breakdowns.
- - Tomorrows game should be interesting and the celtics have a chance, but I
would like to see
Walker, McCarty and Knight be a little more patient and try to score
inside, instead of settling
for jumpers.
What do you all think? - Mishra
