The other player that the Celtics are interested in the Augmon/Dee trade that
makes the salaries work is Jerome Williams formerly of Georgetown per TSN...I
saw Pollard and LaFrenz last night and think both will be NBA stiffs. I need
to see Reggie Freeman again for further evaluation. I also think Vaughn can
make the NBA but only as a backup point(great defense but no shot). So far,
the only guys worth drafting are Duncan, Foyle, Mercer, Thomas, Van Horn,
IMHO. I need to see Skinner, Battie, Seals and Brevan Knight. Paul Pierce
needs to wait a year. I like what I see in the frosh Mike Bibby in Arizona
but I need to see him again. Fortson is iffy. Jamison should wait a
year....Regardless of the continued pessimism of Peter May, I think the
Celtics ownership and management is nothing that the hiring of Pitino and/or
drafting Tim Duncan wouldn't cure....
